NYFW20 FW – Top 4 Trends We Love

New York Fashion Week took over the Empire State earlier this month, and fashionistas around the world are still buzzing about all the incredible collections and trends that debuted on the runways. Because we know you’re just as crazy about fashion as we are, we’ve put together a list of four of our favorite NYFW 2020 trends.

Carolina Herrera

Billowy Silhouettes

Lots of designers showcased looks that focused on volume — from big, diaphanous dresses to tops and skirts that brought major drama by using billowy shapes. It’s a fresh change from the sleek lines and tailored looks that dominated the runways last fall.

Veils

We saw plenty of veils on the runways at this year’s New York Fashion Week. Rocking one on the street is a bold move, for sure, but we think the romance and whimsy it adds to any look is totally worth the risk and a great way to earn major style points.

Brandon Maxwell, available at Nordstrom

Bright Whites

Gone are the days when spring and summer were the only acceptable seasons to rock crisp white looks. This year’s New York Fashion Week proved that winter whites are here in a really big way (especially when you use them to go monochromatic), as evidenced by designers like Marc Jacobs, Brandon Maxwell, and Coach.

Michael Kors                                        Carolina Herrera

Capes

Several iconic names used capes to add serious flow to their looks, including Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors. From floor-length cuts to shorter — yet still sweeping — iterations, this is one trend that’s proven to flatter every body type and definitely one you can easily incorporate into your everyday fashion.
